From April 2016, it became a legal requirement for all UK dogs aged eight weeks and over to be microchipped. One in three pets go missing in their lifetime, so it’s a worthwhile precaution. A lost or stolen dog is more likely to be reunited with their owner if they are microchipped – but what is microchipping? How much does it cost? And where can you get it done?
