Top Breeders believe in Salters
We are proud suppliers to a number of breeders up and down the country as well as in Europe, who all sing the praises of our human grade, hypoallergenic, veterinary formulated dog foods.
Two of our breeders believe in our food so much that they have a clause in their puppy contract of sale stating that the new owner must feed Salters Puppy Food for the first year of the puppy’s life.
Philippa Green of Pasturegreen Bernese, a kennel club assured & inspected UKAS certificated breeder of Bernese mountain dogs, has become one of our top advocates, alongside breeder Chloe Minto of Northern Bear. We receive regular updates on their gorgeous Bernese and their litters.
Both breeders have now introduced the clause below into their puppy sales contracts.
The clause states
“We are passionate about the correct rearing of this puppy, which includes feeding this puppy correctly, therefore it is a condition of sale that you agree to continue to feed Salters Premium Dried Food as directed for at least until this puppy’s first birthday. Should a need arise over the feeding of this puppy, please discuss the situation with us BEFORE changing foods. We are anti raw feeding for we know the development damage it can cause. Therefore you agree not to feed this puppy such a diet anytime in the future.”
What a fantastic compliment and testament to our dog food!
Puppies deserve the best start in life. Your dog’s development for the rest of their life is dependent on what they are fed during their first year.
A puppy’s nutritional needs are very demanding. Our unique formula includes a careful balance of highest quality protein, oils, fats and carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. Your puppy can start to be fed Salter’s Puppy Food from three to four weeks of age because it’s so digestible.
We don’t use any artificial colours, antioxidants or preservatives. Our dog food’s colour is the natural colour after cooking. We use an antioxidant which is a natural extract of Vitamin E (called “topcopherol-rich extracts of natural origin”). Our dog food is preserved naturally, as a result of suitable drying of the cooked kibbles. Like most biscuits, they’re naturally stable stored under cool, dry conditions away from animal contact.
