This gorgeous brood are from our long time customer, Philippa of Pasturegreen Bernese.
Born to wonder mum, 2 year old Smartie and very handsome dad Brian, 8 months old.

Brian was a tad young and the pregnancy a happy accident, to have sired such a large litter at 8 months old is truly remarkable as usually they aren’t really fertile at that age.
Combine that with a slip mating with no tie and both of them being maidens it was all rather an amazing situation indeed.5 gorgeous healthy girls and 6 handsome fluffy boys were born after a hassle free pregnancy and birth for Smartie.

Could quality feeding be a key?
Its been said… “that by feeding Salters, you too could get improvement on fertility”.

Smarties parents, Henry & Lollypop are both Salters fed.
Smartie and Brian both are and so are the adorable new additions…. In fact grandfather Henry is still siring litters at nearly 8 years old! Which is an amazing achievement itself!
Three fantastic generations of happy, healthy and thriving Bernese.
We won’t know until next year if it was the biggest litter of Bernese this year, but so far Smartie still holds the record for the year to date.
10 puppies have now gone to their new homes where they will continue to be fed on Salters as per Philippa’s expert advice to the new families.

Her name is Biscuit and she is staying put at Pasturegreen with mum and dad and her grandparents.
