Charlie, this little Rottweiler puppy, came to me when he was about 13 weeks old with horrendous mucoid diarrhoea, very underweight, 6.5K. He had come in from Bulgaria – probably from a puppy farm. He was found to have Giardia, parasites – Clostridium perfringens and Campylobacter, bacterial infections.
We began treatment for these and introduced him to Salters Puppy, which he loved.
We slowly were able to increase his intake of Salters Puppy food, this had to be done slowly in order to allow his system to recover very slowly. By the time he left us he was clear of parasites and bacterial infections and eating very healthily with no signs of any digestive problems. All faeces were well formed. In the space of three weeks he went from 6.5K to 10K a gain of 3.5K in just three weeks.
