Polly continues her story here…
In case you missed it, Polly’s Puppies – Part One is here and Part Two is here.
My puppies continue to grow well and have lovely shiny coats. I have had them outside and using environment enrichment I am pleased to see them tackling new things all the time and not being wary of new items as they appear in the garden. I have various crates upturned, a rabbit tunnel and other things they can safely explore. We have had to fence off part of the garden as their explorations have led to them trying to get out under the bottom fence! We have had builders in as well so they have had the experience of hearing things like concrete breakers and cement mixers as well as the usual household noises of washing machine, vacuum cleaner and telephone. It was hard work keeping them out of the builders’ way as they kept trying to climb out of their pen and I suspect were encouraged by the builders. Visitors are now regularly coming to see the pups, fellow dog breeders, friends and family especially. All the pups were sold from one week old so puppy buyers were also visiting with their families as I always insist on meeting all family members. My own grandchildren have been over as well and so the puppies are very well socialised. Everyone comments on the puppies coats and general body condition which is very pleasing to hear.
